WRITE FOR US
Hey! First of all, we are so excited that you want to write for The Wanderlanders.
There are a few different ways you can get your name out to The Wanderlanders audience….
♠ We are always looking for articles on your experiences abroad. A few ideas are…
What are some challenges you faced living abroad and how did you overcome them?
What did you do? (volunteer, study, work, intern etc.) Tell us all about it!
Do you have any tips for newbies that are interested in moving abroad?
Which country do you live in and what can you tell us about life abroad in that country (visa process, making friends, finding a place to live, getting a job, cultural differences etc)?
These are just some ideas, but we open to hearing about whatever you have in mind.
If you are interested in becoming a contributor please fill out the contact form below and indicate that you would like to write for us. Someone will contact you shortly with login info so you can contribute whenever you want.
♠ We are always looking for people to participate in our expat interview series. We will send you a list of questions about your life abroad and you just need to send the questions answered back to us along with some photos of your life abroad. You can check out past expat interviews here.
If you are interested in participating please indicate in your message which country you live in or lived in so we can tailor the questions specifically to you.
♠ We are always looking for fab expat blogs to include in our expat blog directory. It’s a great way (and easy) way to drive traffic to your site. Check out the directory here. However, we want only the best on our site and are very particular about the content we include in our directory.
If you would like to be considered your blog needs to be easy to navigate, it needs to have a section specifically dedicated to expat life, and you need to write at least some articles about life in a particular country (for example you need to have some articles specifically about life in China if you live in China).
At this point in time, we are unable to pay our contributors (startup life problems), but it is a great way to get some exposure to your own website or social media, and it’s always nice to say you were published on a site. Also, we are really really hoping to be able to pay the people who write for us in the future, so stick around for that!
We strongly believe in long-term relationships with our contributors and are always working on ways to provide you all with as much exposure as possible.
